On March 25, 2020, the Ministry of Culture issued Decree 474, by which two additions are made to Decree 1080 of 2015 (Regulatory Decree of the culture sector): 1. an addition related to audiovisual genres covered by the consideration from the Colombia Film Fund. 2. the addition of a complete chapter (chapter V) related to audiovisual investment certificates.

This decree has the purpose of enhancing the creative economy by extending the benefits of the Colombia Film Fund, previously focused exclusively on cinema, to audiovisual productions of any genre, format, produced or post-produced in Colombia in a total or partial way, that are signed by the Contracts Filming Colombia. Additionally, these productions, which are previously approved by the Colombia Film Promotion Committee, will give the right to request an Audiovisual Investment Certificate in Colombia, deductible from income tax up to a value equivalent to thirty-five percent (35%) of the value of the investment made in Colombia.
